Book enthusiasts, take note—this summer’s reading adventure might be your last for a while! The Friends of the New Milford Public Library are hosting their Annual Summer Book Sale at New Milford High School, and due to upcoming library construction, it will be their final sale for at least two years.
The event runs over three days with plenty of opportunities to browse and buy:
- Thursday, July 11: Early Bird Hour (9–10 a.m.) for $5 admission, then free entry from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 12: Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 13: Final clearance from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—all books half price!
With thousands of gently used books across every category—fiction, nonfiction, children’s, cookbooks, and more—this is the perfect chance to build your home library or find gifts for fellow readers. The Friends group’s message is clear: “Think ahead and STOCK up!” because there won’t be another sale until the library reopens post-renovation.
